Texas Rangers to Investigate Claims Against State House Speaker

The Texas Rangers will investigate allegations of corruption against the state’s Speaker of the House. Speaker Dennis Bonnen is accused by conservative activist Michael Quinn Sullivan of offering him media credentials in exchange for campaigning against a group of GOP incumbents in the 2020 primary. Bonnen’s office said that he welcomes the investigation.
