Texas Senate Bill Bans Critical Race Theory In Public Schools

By an 18-4 vote, the Texas Senate has passed an East Texas legislator’s bill, which would tighten up a law on what schools can teach about racism in America. Senator Bryan Hughes of Mineola authored the bill who represents a large portion of Northeast Texas. Senate Bill 3 essentially bans the teaching of critical race theory at Texas public schools. The bill is now stalled until House Democrats return from Washington.
