Texas Senate Passes “Chick-Fil-A” Bill

The Texas Senate approved a bill Wednesday that would prohibit local government entities from discriminating against business’s affiliation to a religious organization. Republicans advocated the measure after the San Antonio City Council voted in March to prevent Chick-fil-A from opening a restaurant at San Antonio International Airport. Democrats say the bill encourages discrimination.
