Texas To Put Buoys In Rio Grande To Stop Smuggling, Trafficking

Texas has started rolling out a new floating barrier on the Rio Grande. The orange buoys were unloaded in Eagle Pass to deter illegal border crossings and prevent drownings. Meanwhile, a Texas kayaking company filed a lawsuit claiming the buoys would prevent them from giving tours on the river and cause the company “imminent and irreparable harm.
