Texas Towns Bid For DYB State Tournaments

Longview- Texas DYB, formerly Dixie Youth Baseball, held its Annual State Conference Sunday at The Reserve, where they honored four 2022 World Series teams and secured bids for the upcoming 2023 season.

The packed venue had DYB State Director Wes Skelton and National Board Member Bill Sanders recognizing four DYB World Series Champions West Rusk in the 12U Division, Panola County in the 11U, Buffalo in the 10U, and Paris in 7U from the Lone Star State.

East Montgomery County, Center, Splendora, Corsicana, and Paris each locked up tournaments for their organization.

It breaks down as follows: 

T-Ball South to Center for $10,851

T-Ball North went to Corsicana $13,001

Coach Pitch North saw Paris secure it with $14,850

Coach Pitch South saw East Montgomery County win it with a bid of $7,001.51

Bonham captured the 7U Coach Pitch, 6U T-Ball Classic, and 8U Coach Pitch Classic with an offer of $15,002

10U South went to East Montgomery County for $16,582.65

Corsicana snagged the 10U North with a winning bid of $12,000

Paris secured the 12U North Zone with a $5000 offer

Splendora got in on the action taking the South Zone with an amount of $11,600.00

10U and 11U Classic went to Splendora for $11,000, and the 9U and 12U Classic went to Center for $5,500.

 

The DYB Regional Tournaments will be from June 24 through July 3. The State Championship series (best-of-three) is scheduled for Longview from July 7- through July 9.

DYB provided a barbeque lunch and thousands of dollars worth of door prizes for its leagues and fans in attendance.
