The 87th Session Of Texas State Legislature Officially Underway

Mandatory COVID testing, masks, and significantly more plexiglass in the house and senate are among some of the pandemic changes. Governor Abbott spoke of overcoming the challenges to make Texas better. State Rep Dade Phelan was elected house speaker. He encouraged his colleagues, Both Republicans, and Democrats, to work together during the 140-day session.
