The Luke Combs Hiring Process In Today’s Nashville Roundup

Jana Kramer thinks Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman should go to jail for bribing officials to get their daughters into college. Ace Showbiz quotes her as saying, “People go to jail for that, so you should. What I don’t agree with is making a, ‘Well, they’re a celebrity so we have to prove a point.’ I don’t like that.”

Old Dominion lead singer Matthew Ramsey tells Billboard magazine that he still loves grunge music. “I always love when we get to go to Seattle. It’s like walking around in my 17-year-old brain because I grew up listening to Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. I just fantasized about Seattle so much. For my music to bring me there, there’s something just really full-circle and magical about it.”

Chase Rice tells “A Drink With” that he has a crush on Carrie Underwood. “Carrie Underwood was taken from me by Mike Fisher. He’s a hockey player, so I don’t want to mess with him, but I toured with Carrie a little bit down in Texas and I loved her, she was awesome. So if anything ever happens with her and the hockey guy, I wouldn’t complain if I got that phone call! I also love Jessica Alba. I’ve always loved her.”

Luke Combs tells CMT that he hires crew members in unusual ways. “I’ve always been about being able to provide for the team I have, and everyone on this team has been found in the most perfect way. A couple years ago, I was buying boots at the Boot Barn at Opry Mills. It was before I got my record deal. And I liked the guy selling me the boots. So I was like, “You’re cool. What’s your deal? You want to be our tour manager?”

Kelsea Ballerini tells New York magazine that country music and rap have a lot in common. “I love rap music. I think that country music and rap music are lyrically genius in very different ways, but [both] lyrically clever. I’m obsessed with the patterns and the rhythms of rap. I love that you can have hooks that you have to sing at the top of your lungs for it to really matter.”

Kane Brown tells Hollywoodlife.com that his wife, Katelyn, goes everywhere with him. “She used to not be able to come out with me on the road and now she’s out with me every day…she’s my best friend. We’re surrounded by boys, so we don’t get many date nights, but we went to the beach yesterday, that was kind of a date.”
