The Paris News Reports Delta County GOP Censures Governor

The Paris News reports that the Delta County’s Republican Party has criticized Governor Abbott over his response to the Coronavirus pandemic. The party said Abbott’s emergency use of a 1975 law was unconstitutional. Ector, Harrison, Llano, Montgomery, Eastland, Henderson, Denton, and Hood counties also censured Abbott over his mask mandate and bars’ closure in July. Some filed a lawsuit on Abbott for adding six days to the early voting period and a contract his office made with a Coronavirus contact-tracing company.
