The Paris Small Business Development Center Hosting Meetings

Paris’ Small Business Development Center will host three virtual meetings to assist small businesses on Feb. 10, 24, and 25.

The first two training sessions feature guest speaker Tisha Dodge, a business lawyer and founder of Dodge Legal Group, SPC. The Feb. 10 online training, at 10:30 am, is Legal Essentials for Advertising, Marketing and Sales, and the Feb. 24 virtual session, also at 10:30 am, is Legal Contract and Agreement Fundamentals to Avoid Disputes and Lawsuits. The Feb. 25 online meeting is at 2:00 pm, featuring guest speaker Kasia Johnson, marketing expert and CEO of Merge Forward, on “How to Grow Your Business With Social Content.”

The Feb. 10 online meeting addresses keeping advertising costs low by avoiding legal liability. The live session with Dodge will teach ten legal essentials for e-commerce and how to avoid mistakes that could create legal difficulties, disputes, and unwanted publicity. Also covered will be legal requirements to starting an e-commerce business, engaging in more e-commerce and digital marketing while avoiding costly legal mistakes, liability, and the expense of legal troubles.

The online training on Feb. 24 also features Dodge as she teaches how a good contract protects the business and owner from disputes and guarantees full payment during a pandemic. A contract can set out clear expectations of what you do – and don’t do. This webinar includes a real-life legal case demonstrating how invoicing alone does not protect in a dispute. The session consists of a question and answer period.

The Feb. 25 virtual training features Johnson on how to quickly pinpoint a target audience, social media posting steps to create great content that increases visibility, and essential ingredients to a streamlined content creation process that saves time.
