Paris Optimist baseball registration for players aged 3-14 will be tomorrow and continue on Saturday, February 10, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Lamar Avenue Church of Christ. First-time players will need to bring a copy of their birth certificate. Player’s league is assigned based on player’s age on April 30, 2018.

The Paris Tractor Supply Company store is hosting a Farmers’ Market in the 2200-block of Spur 139 tomorrow. From 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, local farmers will be selling locally grown, fresh produce, along with other seasonal products. Shoppers can also expect to find baked goods, candles, arts & crafts and homemade soaps.

The Blossom Volunteer Fire Department is having its annual fundraiser Chili Supper and Auction tomorrow at the Blossom Elementary School Cafeteria. Serving starts at 5:00 pm and the auction begins at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $6. Children six years and under eat free. They will be serving until the auction is over. The department would also appreciate donations of pies, cakes or homemade crafts to donate for the auction.

The Paris Community Theater is presenting John Steinbeck’s classic “Of Mice and Men” at the Plaza Theater. Performances begin tonight at 7:30 and continue Feb. 3 and 4, and Feb. 9-11. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 pm and Sunday performances begin at 2:30 pm.

There is a spaghetti dinner and auction benefit for Zack Lester at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds tomorrow at 5:00 pm. A car accident injured Zack on Jan 18 of this year and the family needs help with medical bills. Zack is a student at North Lamar High School and plays varsity football for the Panthers.
