Things To Do Around Paris This Weekend

The Paris Downtown Association is hosting a free ice cream social Friday on the plaza from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. The social will highlight the Antique Car Show. Those who spend $10 in participating downtown businesses will be eligible for prizes. For more information visit the Paris Downtown Association Facebook page.

Calvary United Methodist Church, at 31st and Lamar, is holding their annual Back to School Clothing Sale Saturday (Aug 3) from 8:30 am till 1:30 pm. Clothes will be available for .50 cents each. There will be sizes infants to adult. This will take place in the fellowship hall. Tell all your friends!

First Responders Breakfast Saturday (Aug 3) at First Christian Church. It is the Monthly Free Breakfast for First Responders. North Texas Honda Helpers will be on hand to help serve and clean up.

Folks will be out on Saturday to help out with “Chill for the Homelessness.” There will be volunteers throughout the city at parks and retail centers from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm handing out popsicles and providing information about our homeless population and how you might be able to help with solutions. Saturday (Aug 3) there will be a Back-2-School Community Event from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at Bywaters Park. There are free backpacks, school supplies, food, bounce houses, popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, face painting, and more. It’s hosted by Impact Church and is free.

Paris Optimist Fall Baseball Registration Saturday (Aug 3) and August 10 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Charles Taylor Complex at Woodall. Registration fees are $45 for 5-6-year-olds and $55 for 7-14-year-olds. League age is April 30, 2020. Sign up and enjoy the fun of playing baseball with your friends. Girls are invited to play baseball also players from other communities are invited.
