Things To Do Around Paris This Weekend

The Novice Volunteer Fire Department is having it’s Annual “All You Can Eat Chili Supper” Fundraiser on Friday, November 1, from Noon Until 8:00 pm. We w have hot, medium, mild and turkey chili, stew, bean, cornbread, hot dogs, Frito pies, and homemade desserts. There are a lot of door prizes given away and homemade desserts to be auctioned! The chili supper prices are $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for children four to 11 and children under the age of four are free. We will have a drawing for a model 110 Savage Apex Predator 6.5 Creedmore hunting rifle at 8:00 pm. You do not have to be present to win. Tickets for the drawing are $1.00 each or six for $5.00. Visit your neighbors, support your community and enjoy a great meal at an affordable price at Novice Volunteer Fire Department, 13834 FM-195 Friday (Nov 1).

Your presence and support of this event are appreciated for the Second Annual “Nicole’s November” Friday (Nov 1) from 11:30 am – 12:00 pm. It is a blood drive in memory of Nicole Roberts, an employee of Hersha Hospitality, who lost her battle to cancer in 2018. She was only 34 years old. Through her fight, she received over 20 plus blood transfusions. This event in Nicole’s memory is sponsored by Holiday Inn Express and Comfort Suites. Donors are eligible to enter to win a complimentary Suite or meeting space giveaway. CASA For Kids – Fall for CASA Gala Saturday (Nov 2), at 6:00 pm at the Fellowship Church. Catering; On Top of it Catering Music: Live music by “Under the Sun”  There will be a live and silent auction, door prizes and more!

Saturday (Nov 2), the Valley of the Caddo Museum and Cultural Center presents Andrea Doss Artist and Illustrator Storybook Painting Workshop. It goes from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Museum, 1115 Bonham St. Students will create a work of art that expresses a story using acrylic paint and mixed media on canvas. Ages 8 to 14 and lunch provided. The cost is $30.00 per student, all supplies provided. It is limited to 15 students so reservations and advance payment are required.
