Things To Do Around Paris This Weekend

The Paris Rodeo will be held Friday and Saturday night at 8pm The events are sponsored by the Paris Horse and Rodeo Club and are sanctioned by  CPRACRRA and UPRA. Events include Bareback Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Calf Roping, Cowgirl Barrel Racing,  Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling and Team Roping. 

The Paris Municipal Band will continue its 2016 summer season tonight with a free concert at Bywaters park.  Downbeat is at 8:30.

Fun things happening this weekend the Market Square.  Main Street and Farmers Market Vendors are inviting all fathers to stop by the Main Street table for a free cup of JOE between the hours of  9 – 11 A.M.  All kid are also invited to come and make a gift specially for dad.

 This week the Farmers Market welcomes the Local Bluegrass band  HWY 1924. Frank Poye, Hugh Jones, Joe Worley, and Steve Logan will begin playing at 10 a.m. as a special treat for fathers and other patrons.  As always fresh fruits and vegetables and value added items will be for sale beginning at 8:00 a.m. till 1:00 

The Paris Pregnancy Care Center is hosting its first annual Glow Run tomorrow. There will be a 5k, 3k and 1 mile, and all races start at about 8:30 and begin and end at North Lamar High School . All ages and abilities are welcome. The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for kids 4 – 11.  

The Red River County Healthy Kids Coalition is hosting its 2nd Annual Kid Safe Saturday this weekend.  It starts at 10am and lasts until 1pm at the Clarksville Fair Grounds on East Main Street.  

The Paris Community Theater is presents “ Children of Eden” for two weeks beginning tonight  and running through June 30th.  The productions are at the theater in downtown Paris off the square.
