Adopt a pet today- give a dog or cat a forever home! Head over to the Paris Animal Shelter or look for the Lamar County Humane Association in front of Petco on Saturdays. And if you have a pet, have them spayed or neutered.

The Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site in Paris is hosting a “Spring Break Extravaganza” from March 13 through 16. Victorian era games and toys with a different theme will be featured each day. The activities will focus on groups of families and friends having fun together.

The Brookston VFD is having their annual Chili and Stew Fundraiser tomorrow at the fire station beginning at 5:00 pm. Entertainment is by Dakota Smith and Krissy Green and a live auction will begin at 6:30. Baked goods for sale have been donated by fire department members. The event is free but donations are more than appreciated.

The Hugo Parkinson Support Group will meet tomorrow at  2:00 pm at Hugo Health & Rehabilitation Center, 1001 Heritage Way. The speaker will be Bruce Mcintyre, Executive Director of the Parkinson Foundation of Oklahoma.
