Third Special Session Of Legislature Starts Monday

A special session of the state legislature begins at 1:00 this afternoon, and the focus will be on school financing, school choice, and vouchers for private school tuition. Legislators also planned to do more to reduce illegal immigration by making it a criminal offense of unlawful entry into this state from a foreign nation and authorizing all licensed peace officers to remove illegal immigrants from Texas. Both legislative chambers will have to work together for any legislation to pass.
