Thomas Rhett On Fame In Today’s Nashville Roundup

Blake Shelton tells The Kansas City Star that it is difficult when he tours at the same time as Gwen Stefani. “If we didn’t ever have to be apart, that would be great. I’m going one direction, and she’s going the other direction sometimes, but every time we can, we meet up and find each other somewhere out there.”

Thomas Rhett tells Billboard magazine that fame hasn’t changed him. “I just don’t look at myself that way. I feel like I’m just a pretty normal dude that sings songs and that happens to be successful … it really seems like yesterday when I signed a record deal, so being here … I just feel super-blessed to have had that much success.”

Dierks Bentley tells Billboard magazine that he secretly dresses as a character called “Dirty Doug” and plays bluegrass music during soundchecks. “Me and the guys in the band, we’re crazy about bluegrass. It’s really fun for us as a band because, you know, we play this music backstage sitting around anyway, so it’s a chance for us to throw in some different songs. We had been trying all this stuff out, and [the name] Dirty Doug really felt right. Dirty Doug rocks a bolo, of course.”

Kip Moore tells Billboard magazine that he never takes his success for granted.“I think about it all the time, and I think that’s what traveling around does for me. It allows me to reflect on where I’ve been, where I am, and where I would go. I think about how blessed I am to be one of the few people who gets to wake up every day and truly do what they love, and make a living doing it. I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams. I’ve worked hard for it, but I’m truly blessed.”
