Three FD’s Battle House Fire in Deport

Fire destroyed a house under construction in Deport over the weekend. Officials say a worker was painting inside, when he smelled smoke, ran outside and saw flames  coming from the structure. About 12 firefighters from the Deport, Blossom and Cunningham  fire departments battled the blaze for about 3 hours.  There were no injuries.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
