Three New COVID Deaths In Lamar County

The Texas Department of State Health Services Coronavirus Dashboard reports three new deaths in Lamar County for a total of 172. There were, as of Monday night, an estimated 939 active cases of COVID in the county. On Friday afternoon, PRMC had nearly 40 people hospitalized with COVID-19, but hospital officials say that number can change frequently. For August, there were 140 COVID admissions, and they expect similar numbers in September.
