Sulphur Springs Police responded several months ago after receiving a report of suspicious activity in front of the Red River Credit Union on Gilmer Street. Three Venezuelan nationals were arrested for possession of fraudulent use of identification. The two female suspects were sentenced to the 261 days in jail that they had already served and were turned over to ICE to be deported. The third suspect, who faced more serious charges including credit card abuse was sentenced to 13 years in prison and will be deported when he finishes his sentence.
