BASKETBALL
Mt Pleasant girls’ basketball will host Hallsville Friday, with three games starting at 4:30 pm. And correct us if we’re wrong, but are you aware that both Mt Pleasant girls and boys are undefeated. The girls are 28-0 while the guys are 26-0. It appears that Mt Pleasant is the only school in Texas that has both basketball teams unbeaten as the second half starts. The only teams that we can find undefeated are the Nocona girls in 2A at 28-0 and the Abbott boys in 1A at 9-0.
Sulphur Springs Lady Cats will host Pittsburg Friday night after winning a victory over Pleasant Grove 70-41. The Lady Cats are 20-6 and 3-3 in the district. For the guys, they will be in Pittsburg as an undefeated team in 15-4A after handing Pleasant Grove a 67-55 loss. Game time Friday is 7:00 pm in Pittsburg.
