HIGH SCHOOL

Wednesday was National Signing Day for high school athletics. Dylan Fluellen heads to Northwestern State, his teammates Jaydon Griffin and Brycen Jimmerson both signed with Northwestern Oklahoma State, and Luke Watson becomes a Lumberjack at SFA. Paul Pewitt had four with Rhys Kelley and Kadrien Johnson going to Henderson State, Tanor Mines, Mary Hardin, and Demarcus Hill to Louisiana.

Paul Pewitt, New Boston, and Dekalb are in a three-way tie for the district championship. It assumes all three teams win the final district game Friday, which is highly likely. Dekalb won the coin toss and has a bye to play the Monday seeding game-winner between Paul Pewitt and New Boston. The loser Monday will be the third seed, the loser Tuesday the second seed, with the Tuesday winner the district season champ.
