Tioga’s school board voted to give their students and teachers long weekends beginning next fall. As a result, the district will have classes Tuesday through Friday. The Superintendent said the decision is to help retain teachers and prevent students from feeling overworked. In addition, each school day will be extended by 30 minutes each day to make up for the missing Mondays.
