Northeast Texas voters overwhelmingly voted for Donald Trump for President. GOP Justices won all of the Appellate Court races. In the state school board District 9 race, Republican Keven M. Ellis was the overwhelming winner. The PJC Tax District Annexation proposal passed in Lamar County, but was rejected in Hopkins, Delta , Hunt, Fannin and Red River counties. The Titus County Roads proposition passed with 53% of the vote and the proposition allowing the sale for off premises consumption of beer and wine in Mt. Pleasant passed with 56% of the vote. In Camp County, George French defeated Bart Townsend for Commissioner of Pct. 1. Ray Barnett won out over Bobby Joe Spearman for Constable. Val Varley was re-elected Red River County District Attorney. Barnaby Resendiz was elected Red River County Constable.
