Titus County reports 168 active cases, with 146 last week. There are 24 new cases in the previous seven days, and the county has 41 deaths cumulative. Tuesday, Titus had 19 COVID patients in the hospital with a seven-day average of 13.9 daily patients, which is the highest since May. The 30-day average of 12 patients, so as you can see, these numbers are rising. The availability of ICU beds in our region is only three, which includes several large surrounding hospitals.
Judge Brian Lee says, “I have a conference call today at 2:30 from the Dept of Health Services to discuss our high hospitalization numbers in this region. I certainly hope there will not be further restrictions put on our businesses. Let’s not let that happen. Be diligent in wearing your mask in public places and new your commitment to social distance.
