On Thursday afternoon, Titus County Sheriff’s deputies helped in an Upshur County’s investigation of a shooting. They were looking for a suspect Steven Seth Rosewell, 30, of Cookville. Reportedly sometime during the previous night or early morning hours, Rosewell had shot a female companion causing life-threatening injuries. Afterward, Rosewell allegedly drove the victim around before dumping her out in Longview near a hospital parking lot. Titus County located Roswell barricaded in his Cookville home. Deputies arrested him without incident on the felony charge.
