Then National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Cass County late Sunday night into early Monday morning. The tornado, which had top winds of 100-mph, stayed on the ground for almost ten miles tracking through rural parts of Cass County just south of Marrieta and Douglasville. Almost all of the damage was confined to trees along the path of the twister.
