Tornado Confirmed In Pontotoc County

The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF1 tornado touched down in northern Pontotoc County as severe storms roared through the area. The twister had winds of up to 90 mph. It tore a roof off of a residential building and removed about 30 ft of a wall from a business. The weather service had not issued a tornado warning in Pontotoc County before it hit.
