Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges

Hopkins County deputies stopped a 47 year old Sulphur Springs woman for a traffic violation and discovered her driver’s license had been suspended and her vehicle registration did not match the vehicle she was driving. Further investigation turned up between 4 and 200 grams of a controlled substance. Sharon Donice Simmons was arrested on multiple charges and bond was set at $20,000.
