Trends In Oklahoma Public School Enrollment Change Funding

Schools in Oklahoma start with a certain amount of state funding, but once the state takes a look at their actual enrollment, the funding adjusts up or down. Some schools will receive less for the rest of the school year because declining enrollment led to the mid-year adjustment subtracting from a district. Other schools, like local charter, are seeing growth, and their checks will go up to meet students’ needs.
