Trial Begins Next Week For Lamar County Man Accused Of Child Sex Crimes

The trial of a Sumner man accused of continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14 and two counts of the second-degree felony indecency with a child by sexual contact is scheduled to get underway next week. Jury selection will be held on Tuesday. Reportedly, 39-year-old Lonnie Ray O’Neal has been in the Lamar County Jail since his arrest in January of last year. He is also charged with violation of his parole.
