Trooper Suffers Minor Injuries In Pursuit

State troopers were working a crash on FM69 north of SH11 in Hopkins County when an SUV drove through the crash scene at a high rate of speed. A Hopkins County Deputy attempted to stop the SUV but the suspect continued south and then east on the I-30 service road and on multiple roads south of Sulphur Springs. The vehicle was finally stopped after troopers spiked the tires on FM 1870 and CR2310. 19 year old Scott Allen Moore was transported to the Hopkins County jail on multiple charges and bond was set at $35,000. During the incident, a highway patrol trooper struck a fence post and was transported to Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs with non- life threatening injuries.
