Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to a vehicle – pedestrian crash on IH-30 in Morris County, about nine miles north of Omaha.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates a 2016 Freightliner Truck-Tractor, towing a 2013 Great Dane Trailer, was traveling west on IH-30 when a pedestrian walked into the lane of traffic and was struck by the Truck-Tractor.
Paramedics transported pedestrian, Joel Ethan Dockery, 43, of Willis Point, TX to East Texas Medical Center, where he later died.
The driver, Larry G. Kinney, 55, from Brownville, TN was not injured.
