President Trump has again nominated Texas congressman John Ratcliff to be the Director of National Intelligence. It is a loophole to keep current appointed Richard Grenell, the acting director, since February 20, of this year. Lawmakers from both parties raised concerns about Ratcliffe running the post, and he withdrew his nomination earlier. The President has to place a nomination before lawmakers so he can keep the current appointed director without Senate approval for at least another 200 days.
