The lowest-scoring Super Bowl in history was also the least-watched NFL title game in a decade. Super Bowl LIII averaged 100.7 million viewers with streaming factored in, CBS Sports announced. The New England Patriots’ 13-3 victory against the Los Angeles Rams was viewed by about three percent fewer people than last year’s Super Bowl (103 million) and was well off the most-watched Super Bowl (114 million) set in February 2015 (Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks).

The Cincinnati Bengals have hired Los Angeles Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor as their head coach, the team announced Monday. The Bengals honed in on Taylor several weeks ago, but they could not hire him until the Rams were eliminated from the playoffs. Los Angeles advanced to Super Bowl LIII and lost 13-3 to the New England Patriots on Sunday. Taylor, 35, will be the second-youngest coach in the league behind his former boss, 33-year-old Sean McVay. Taylor, the 10th head coach in Bengals history, is expected to hire  Oakland Raiders quarterback’s Coach Brian Callahan, 34, as his offensive coordinator.

New England Patriots defensive play-caller, Brian Flores, will lead the Miami Dolphins into a new era as their head coach, the team announced Monday. Dolphins general manager Chris Grier, in charge of his first coaching search, sought someone with similar beliefs on how to build a contender. He decided on Flores, the 37-year-old Patriots de facto defensive coordinator who started his career the same way as Grier — as a New England scout. Flores is also the first full-time minority coach in franchise history and one of four minority coaches currently in the NFL. He will replace Adam Gase, who was fired on Dec. 31. The New York Jets hired Gase as head coach 12 days later.

Aaron Rodgers should be able to fully participate in the Green Bay Packers’ offseason program, which will start even earlier than usual this year because he was able to avoid surgery on his left knee. Rodgers would only reveal that the injury suffered in the season opener against the Bears was a sprain. He wore a brace until the Nov. 4 game at New England.

Coming off decisive wins over South Carolina and Texas A&M, Tennessee remained atop The Associated Press men’s basketball poll for the third straight week. Duke, Virginia, and Gonzaga held in place at 2,3 and 4. Kentucky moved up to number 5. Nevada, Michigan, North Carolina, Michigan State, and Marquette round out the Top 10. Tennessee plays Missouri and Florida this week.
