NFL

Tom Brady did what he does best in the second half. He threw touchdowns passes to Rob Gronkowski and Mike Evans, giving him the career-lead in TD throws once more. He took his Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a 25-23 victory over the New York Giants.

MLB

On Monday night, the Baseball Writers’ Association of America announced the three finalists in each league for its 2020 awards. They have already voted on the winners of those awards that include the Most Valuable Player, the Cy Young, the Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year, and the Manager of the Year. They will announce the results on a designated evening next week.

COLLEGE

Basketball icon and former Lamar University coach Billy Tubbs died Sunday morning after a long battle with leukemia that doctors diagnosed in 2015. He coached at Lon Morris, reached the National Junior College semi-finals, and coached at Lamar and Southwestern Universities. He died in Norman, OK, at the age of 85.
