New Orleans Saints’ Quarterback Drew Brees

Chicago’s fans got excited after Cordarrelle Patterson’s 104-yard return of the Viking’s kickoff, and it went downhill from there, ending with the Bears limping into a bye. Kirk Cousins threw for 292 yards and two touchdowns to come up with a 19-13 victory over Chicago Monday night. The Vikings pick up Dallas Sunday.

New Orleans learned Monday that Drew Brees has multiple rib fractures on both sides and a collapsed lung on the right side. A date for returning as quarterback for the Saints is unknown.

NCAA

The NCAA announced Monday it plans to hold the entire 2021 men’s college basketball tournament in one geographic location to mitigate the risks of COVID-19. They are in talks with Indianapolis to be the host city. They set the Final Four to be in Indianapolis next April, and the NCAA has its headquarters in the Indiana capital.

They crowned Sulphur Springs Girls’ Volleyball team the District Champions, and next up; they are hosting Greenville in a warmup before facing Tyler High at Grand Saline Friday (Nov 20) at 6i:30 pm. The Sulphur Springs Boys’ Basketball team is hosting North Lamar tonight, and your tickets are at ssisd.net.

Mt Pleasant’s Boys’ Basketball game with Greenville got canceled for tonight, and they added Commerce after the girls’ game tonight at 7:00.

They canceled Paris Wildcats’ game against New Boston in Paris tonight when the Lions said they could show up.
