They are now the King of the East. The Buffalo Bills did in the Patriots 38-9 Monday night. Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen threw four touchdown passes over the Patriots, including three to Stefon Diggs. That gave Allen the franchise record for most TD passes in a season passing Jim Kelly.

The Los Angeles Rams’ quarterback Jared Goff underwent surgery Monday to stabilize a broken right thumb. According to coach Sean McVay, they will sideline him for a Week 17 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

The San Diego Padres are on the verge of making their second trade for a star pitcher in as many days, with the team expected to acquire righty Yu Darvish from the Chicago Cubs, according to sources familiar with the deal.

With the success of the Baylor men’s and women’s basketball programs, there is a rumor that Waco is getting a professional team called the Waco Royals. The Royals will be a member named “The Basketball League,” or TBL. TBL is a comparable level of play to Double-A baseball, but it prides itself on being a different type of league – one that puts a heavy focus on being involved in the community.

HIGH SCHOOL

Sulphur Springs Lady Cats came up with a 66-60 victory over Community Monday afternoon. Sulphur Springs also learned that Coach Jeff Chapman, who was the Lady Cats Basketball Coach, died. Coach Chapman was the Paris Girl’s AD and head basketball coach for the Paris Wildcats. Coach Chapman lost his battle with cancer.
