Two Arrested After Bowie County Robbery Attempt

A man and woman were arrested after they attempted to rob the Ellis Pottery Store in Texarkana at gunpoint Sunday night. Reportedly, 25-year-old Brandon Staggs, of Texarkana, entered the store through a back door armed with a shotgun and a scuffle ensued with two employees, one of whom had a conceal and carry permit. Staggs was detained, and when police arrived, 34-year-old Toni Works, of Maud, was arrested in a vehicle outside the business. Both were charged with Aggravated Robbery. Bond was set at $100,000 for each suspect
