Authorities arrested two men in connection with the house fire near Idabel that claimed the life of 43-year-old Danette Stowe and seriously injured her husband. McCurtain County Deputies say she ran into the burning house in an unsuccessful attempt to save her two dogs. The OSBI has identified the suspects as 89-year-old Allen Shaw and 68-year-old Randy Sander. They’re each facing charges of second-degree murder and arson. Sheriff Kevin Clardy said the men were the property owners and the ones who started the fire. The two residents of the burned house had allegedly failed to pay rent for more than two years.
