After a two week trial in federal court in Sherman, two men have been convicted in a $22-million investment scam. Reportedly, 46-year-old Thurman Bryant, III, of Frisco, and 46-year-old Arthur Wammel, of Houston, executed a scheme that promised a 30 percent return on investment. Instead, they spent the money on expensive cars, private schools, home improvements, and jewelry. They face 20 years in prison at sentencing.
