Two people died in fatal motor vehicle crashes in Southeast Oklahoma. Officials pronounced 66-year-old Shirley Johnson dead at the scene of a crash between Hugo and Soper in Choctaw County. It was after she failed to stop at the Intersection US 70 and Hwy 271, resulting in a collision with 51-year-old Choctaw County Under-Sheriff Jody King. King was critically injured and flown to a hospital in Plano. The other crash occurred on US 70 east of Broken Bow, when a van pulled out in front of a motorcycle, killing the motorcyclist. No names have been released in that crash.
