Two Killed In Crash

Sunday morning around 7:45, there was a two-vehicle fatal crash on US 79 about 14 miles southwest of Rusk in Henderson County. The driver, Benjamin Cole Montrose, 20, of Larue, of a 2015 Ford F-150, traveled northbound on US 79 when for an unknown reason, drove on the wrong side of the roadway and struck a southbound 2020 Toyota Tacoma head-on. The driver of the Toyota was Dakota Chase Pardue, 25, of Henderson. Justice of the Peace Risinger pronounced both at the scene.
