Two North Texas Air Traffic Control Centers Hit by Coronavirus With two cases of COVID-19 in two different North Texas Air Traffic control centers in two weeks, it could be a bumpy ride for the next few months. In each instance, a controller tested positive for coronavirus, and they shut down the entire radar room while crews scrubbed-down everything. That meant air traffic had to be held up and diverted. It’s not known how far up the list the air traffic controllers are for the vaccine, but the Air Traffic Controllers Association says they will have to ride it out for the next few months with the rest of the essential workforce.
