Two burglaries occurred early Thursday morning in Northeast Texas, and detectives are working to see if they are related. Around 3:00 am, thieves broke into the Tobacco Patch in the 1000-block of Gilmer in Sulphur Springs. Mount Vernon Police are investigating a break-in at the Tobacco Rhoades store that occurred at about 4:00 am. In both cases, the suspects smashed the windows and made off with a large number of cigarette cartons.
