The Atlanta District of the Texas Department of Transportation has named William Compton the area engineer for the Mt. Pleasant office, which is in charge of state highway maintenance and construction in Titus, Camp, Morris, and Upshur Counties. Compton, a professional engineer, has worked in the transportation engineering design and construction industry for over 19 years.
