TxDOT Winter Alert

Cass County US 59 Monday

Winter Weather Alert For Northeast Texas

ATLANTA – TxDOT reminds drivers to stay home as crews continue to clear roads of snow and ice. Winter conditions impact all roadways in the nine-county Atlanta District, including Bowie, Camp, Cass, Harrison, Marion, Morris, Panola, Titus, and Upshur counties.

We deploy all resources and crew working around the clock, focusing on clearing higher volume corridors, such as I-20, I-30, US 59, and trouble spots as they arise.

Although roads are not technically closed, weather impact all our highways.

With record-breaking low temperatures expected, drivers are strongly encouraged to stay at home.

Crews continue to address the roadways, but they will continue to experience freezing as temperatures drop.

It is a situation where we are not going to clear all roadways until this event is over. Stay home if at all possible.

Visit DriveTexas.org for updated road conditions. If stranded on the road, stay in your vehicle and call 911.
