UIL State Executive Committee Meeting Results

The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Tuesday to hand down decisions on eligibility of student athletes and rule on alleged rule violations.

The committee denied Georgetown Gateway College Prep its appeal of penalties issued by the 25-3A district executive committee for violating rules related to varsity eligibility requirements in non-district games.

Student-athletes from League City Clear Springs High School and Robert Lee High School were denied appeals for varsity eligibility, upholding the previous ruling of the district executive committee.

The board rejected Corpus Christi Calallen High School coach Rodney Savanich an appeal of ejection from a contest. The board issued the coach the automatic penalty of a public reprimand, one-year probation, and additional training.
