UIL State Executive Committee Meeting Results
AUSTIN, Texas — The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Tuesday to hand down decisions on student-athletes eligibility and issue penalties for UIL rule violations.
The committee granted a student-athlete from Tuscola Jim Ned High School an appeal for varsity eligibility. After hearing testimony from all parties, the board determined that this student did not change schools for athletic purposes.
The committee denied a student-athlete from Dallas Madison High School an appeal for varsity eligibility, upholding the district executive committee’s previous ruling.
Campbell High School Head Boys Basketball Coach Jason Crow was suspended for two games, placed on one-year probation, issued a public reprimand, and required to complete additional training for receiving an ejection while on probation.
The committee denied River Oaks Castleberry High School Head Football Coach Juan Silva and Cranfills Gap High School Head Girls Basketball Coach Justin Graham an appeal for an ejection from a contest. Both were issued the automatic penalty of a public reprimand, one-year probation, and additional training.
