Ukrainian Refugees Arriving At South Texas Border

The war in Ukraine is arriving on Texas’ doorstep. They are telling Border Patrol Agents in South Texas to allow them in, so they can claim asylum. San Antonio’s Congressman Joaquin Castro says this will not burden the system. They tell agents that Ukrainians are exempt from a public health rule called Title-42, which they use to expel most illegal immigrants immediately. New numbers show more than 300 Ukrainian encounters at the border.
