United Way Hosts Community Conversation On Homelessness In Lamar County

The United Way of Lamar County will host a Community Conversation on Homelessness on Friday, September 6, at 9:00 am at the Paris Public Library’s Community Room. All are welcome to attend.

UWLC Executive Director Jenny Wilson explained, “I had a great opportunity last month to talk to the members of the Paris Downtown Association regarding the homeless problem we have and the resources available to help them. It is our hope that continuing that conversation will lead to a better understanding of the causes of homelessness and the solutions we might find.”

Wilson adds, “At the United Way, we always strive to bring together all stakeholders and listen to diverse opinions to find solutions as a community. I hope many people – business owners, nonprofits, churches, and citizens – will attend this meeting.”
